"Servicing NZ and Australian markets from one website"

Brief Introduction

Accent Group specialises in the wholesale distribution of world-leading footwear and apparel fashion brands for Australasia.

They hold the exclusive distribution rights for major, in-demand global footwear brands including Skechers, Vans, Dr. Martens, Zoo York & Marc Ecko.

Requirements

Skechers required a promotional website to promote their brand in both New Zealand and Australia. Both websites have exactly the same information except for contact details, news, and stockists list. The product range was identical in both NZ and Australia.

A year later Vans also had the same requirement as Skechers.

Two years after that Accent Group in both NZ and Australia also needed a website.

Solutions and Add-Ons

A promotional website with a product catalogue was created for both Vans and Skechers. Because the design and 90% of the content was the same for both countries, it was decided that they operate from the same website. Depending on the domain name www.vans.co.nz or www.vans.net.au different contact details, news, and stockists list would appear. This solution saved 60% on building a separate website for NZ and Australia. It also enables easy updating of information.

CRM solution is currently under development for Accent Group. A CRM is being designed to generate sales forecasts and enhance the call cycle made by account managers to their retailers/stockists.

Of the 800 website's designed and hosted by Datum Connect (Cinch's parent company), Vans and Skechers are consistently in the top 10 for both the number of visitor hits and the conversion of visitors to take an action, such as view the stockists list, send an enquiry or view the 'contact us' page.

The Vans website gets over 3,500 hits from Google per month.

The Skechers website gets over 5,000 hits from Google a month.
